By using the county’s public transportation, ridesharing, biking, or walking options, you are eligible to receive reimbursements for rides taken home in the case of unexpected emergencies with the Guaranteed Ride Home program. The Alameda CTC has created a resource website called Commute Choices that is designed to help you learn about the variety of commute options available to you as an employee in Alameda County. If you are an employer representative or human services professional, this website has something for you, too. Commute Choices will help you set up commuter benefits programs in compliance with the Bay Area Commuter Benefits Program.
